Connecting Your AI Assistant
Which AI assistants work with AgentRunCoach?
ChatGPT and Claude. You add AgentRunCoach to either one yourself, using its own address.
How do I connect ChatGPT?
In ChatGPT on the web or the desktop app:
- Open Plugins: in the left sidebar on the web, or Customize → Plugins on desktop.
- Choose Add → Create MCP App.
- Name: AgentRunCoach
Server URL:https://api.agentruncoach.com/mcp/chatgpt - Leave Authentication on OAuth, check I understand and want to continue, and select Create.
- Select Continue to AgentRunCoach, then sign in to connect.
How do I connect Claude?
In Claude on the web, desktop or mobile app:
- Open Settings → Connectors.
- Select + → Add custom connector.
- Name: AgentRunCoach
URL:https://api.agentruncoach.com/mcp - Select Add, then sign in to connect.
Can I connect Strava from the ChatGPT app?
No. Connect Strava from AgentRunCoach Settings when it is available for your account; ChatGPT can then work with the activities AgentRunCoach holds.
Can I use Strava's Claude connector with AgentRunCoach?
Yes, where Strava makes that connector available. It remains separate from AgentRunCoach's own Strava connection, and nothing is saved without confirmation.
Do I need a paid AI assistant subscription?
No. AgentRunCoach billing is separate, and free ChatGPT and Claude plans can connect it. A free Claude plan allows one custom connector.
Can I switch to a different AI assistant later?
Yes. Your plan and training history live in AgentRunCoach, so changing assistants does not move or erase them.
Troubleshooting
My AI assistant isn't responding with my coaching data.
Check that AgentRunCoach is enabled in the conversation, then reconnect it. In ChatGPT, open AgentRunCoach under Installed in Plugins and select Reconnect. In Claude, disconnect and reconnect it in Settings → Connectors.
What does AgentRunCoach send to my assistant?
The assistant requests the account context needed for your coaching conversation. AgentRunCoach does not store the chat transcript.
