Connecting your assistant
Add AgentRunCoach to ChatGPT or Claude, authorize it, and know how to reconnect or switch assistants without losing your training.
You connect from the assistant you want to coach with, then sign in and approve access to your training account.
ChatGPT and Claude use different connection addresses. Setup is currently manual, so copy the address for your assistant exactly. If your assistant does not show the custom-app or custom-connector controls below, check its current account and workspace availability.
Connecting ChatGPT
Use ChatGPT on the web:

https://api.agentruncoach.com/mcp/chatgpt - Open Settings, turn on developer mode under Advanced settings, then return to Settings → Apps.
- Choose Create and name the app AgentRunCoach.
- Copy the connector address above and paste it into the address field.
- Acknowledge the custom-connector notice, create the app, then choose Connect.
- Sign in to AgentRunCoach and approve the permission screen.
Custom apps cannot currently be added from the ChatGPT desktop or mobile app. Once the connection exists, begin a new conversation and enable AgentRunCoach.
Connecting Claude
Use Claude on the web or in Claude Desktop:

- Choose +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it AgentRunCoach, then copy the connector address above and paste it into the address field.
- Choose Add, then sign in to AgentRunCoach and approve the permission screen.
Claude’s mobile app can use an existing connector but cannot add a new custom one. After setup, return to AgentRunCoach onboarding and verify the connection.
Reconnecting when coaching data is missing
First check that AgentRunCoach is enabled in the current conversation. If the assistant still cannot reach your account, open its app or connector settings and reconnect or reauthorize AgentRunCoach.
As a final reset, remove the app or connector and add it again with the address above. This removes that assistant’s permission; it does not delete your plan, activities or coaching history.
Your assistant is not the system of record
Your training lives in AgentRunCoach. You can connect both assistants or switch your preferred one in AgentRunCoach Settings without moving your data.
What the permission allows
The connection lets your assistant request the parts of your account needed for the conversation and ask AgentRunCoach to take an action for you. The assistant still follows its own memory, privacy and workspace rules. AgentRunCoach does not store the transcript of that conversation.
