What AgentRunCoach is

A running coach you reach through the AI assistant you already use — it holds your training, your plan, and the coaching judgement behind both.

You talk to your usual AI assistant, and it coaches your running. That is the whole idea. There is no separate chat app to learn and no new place to check in — the coaching happens in the conversation you are already having.

Two different things make that work, and it helps to know which is which.

What AgentRunCoach does

AgentRunCoach holds everything that has to persist and everything that has to be right:

  • Your training history, and your plan
  • Your running numbers, recalculated as you train
  • The coaching method — how a plan is shaped, when it should change, what a given week is for
  • The actions themselves: building a plan, moving a session, recording a race

None of that lives in the conversation. Close the chat, open a new one next week, switch to a different assistant entirely — your training is still here.

What your assistant does

Your assistant provides the language and the conversation. It asks AgentRunCoach for your data when it needs it, and asks AgentRunCoach to make changes when you want them.

AgentRunCoach does not provide or train the language model. That is why you can use the assistant you already like.

You can switch assistants whenever you want

Your history, plan, and coaching context all live in AgentRunCoach, not in any one assistant. Moving from one to another costs you nothing.

What this means day to day

You do not have to phrase things carefully or learn commands. Say what you would say to a coach:

Ask your coach

  • “How did last week go?”
  • “I felt awful on Tuesday, can we back off a bit?”
  • “I’ve got a half in twelve weeks, can we build for it?”

Your assistant works out which parts of AgentRunCoach it needs and does the rest. When something is ambiguous, it asks rather than guessing.

Where to go next

If you have not connected an assistant yet, start with connecting your assistant.

If you are already connected and want to know what is possible, the fastest route is what you can ask your coach — every phrasing in this documentation, on one page.

Ask your coach

  • “What can you help me with?”

  • “How does this work?”

  • Connecting your assistant — Add AgentRunCoach to ChatGPT or Claude, authorize it, and know how to reconnect or switch assistants without losing your training.
  • Building your first plan — Record what you are training for, connect or describe your recent running, and finish your first plan through a guided coaching conversation.
  • What a session is made of — Every run in your plan is built from steps — each with a job, a length, and sometimes a pace to hold.
