Connecting Strava
How do I connect my Strava account to AgentRunCoach?
From the AgentRunCoach app, go to Settings → Connections and tap "Connect Strava." You'll be redirected to Strava to authorize access. Once you approve, you'll be sent back to the app automatically.
What Strava data does AgentRunCoach access?
AgentRunCoach reads your recent activity history (runs, rides, and other workouts), including distance, duration, pace, heart rate, and elevation. It accesses this data only when it's needed to analyze a workout, update your plan, or answer a coaching question. It doesn't keep a permanent copy of your detailed activity data. AgentRunCoach never accesses your social feed, segments, or private messages.
Why does AgentRunCoach need access to my Strava account?
Your activity data is what your AI assistant uses to understand your training history and give you relevant, personalized coaching. Without it, the assistant can only offer generic advice.
Does AgentRunCoach work without a Strava account?
Strava is the easiest way to get your training data into AgentRunCoach, but it's not required. You can also share screenshots or upload CSV exports from your fitness app, but it takes much more effort.
Managing Your Connection
How do I disconnect my Strava account?
Go to Settings → Connections, tap "Strava," and select "Disconnect." This removes AgentRunCoach's access to your Strava data. Your AgentRunCoach account remains active.
What happens to my data if I disconnect?
When you disconnect, AgentRunCoach can no longer access your Strava data and stops reading new activity right away. The content derived from your activities, such as summarized training data, coaching notes, and your training plan, is retained until you delete your account. Your detailed Strava activities aren't kept.
I revoked access on Strava's side — what happens next?
If you revoke access via Strava's connected apps page, AgentRunCoach will lose the ability to read your Strava data. You'll see a reconnect prompt the next time you open the app. Your AgentRunCoach account and the coaching content you've created stay in place. There's just no new activity data until you reconnect.
Troubleshooting
My Strava account won't connect. What should I do?
Try signing out of Strava in your browser, then attempt to connect again. If the problem persists, check that your Strava account is active and that you're authorizing with the correct account. Contact support if you're still stuck.
My recent activities aren't showing up. Why?
Activity syncing can take a few minutes after a new workout. If activities from more than an hour ago are missing, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Strava account. If the issue continues, contact support with the date and name of a missing activity.
I'm getting an error when authorizing Strava. What does it mean?
This usually means the authorization timed out or was cancelled. Close the browser tab, return to AgentRunCoach, and try connecting again. If you see a specific error code, include it when contacting support.
Privacy & Data
Who can see my Strava data?
Only you and the AgentRunCoach team (for troubleshooting purposes) can see your data. Your data is never shared with third parties or other users.
Does AgentRunCoach store my Strava activities?
No. AgentRunCoach doesn't keep a permanent copy of your detailed Strava activities. It retrieves what it needs from Strava at the moment it analyzes a workout or updates your plan, and it doesn't retain that detailed data beyond the short window Strava's terms allow. What it does keep is the coaching you create together, like your training plan and check-in notes, which are derived from your activities rather than copies of the raw Strava data.
Is my Strava data used to train any AI model?
No. Your data is passed to your chosen AI assistant (e.g., ChatGPT) for the purpose of generating coaching responses, but it is not used to train any AI model by AgentRunCoach or its partners.
