Adding skills to your assistant

Download an available skill bundle, ask a desktop AI tool to install it, and keep any local service authorization off AgentRunCoach's servers.

Skills add abilities that need to run on your own computer instead of on AgentRunCoach’s servers.

A Skill — a bundle of instructions and, when needed, a small local program for your assistant — is downloaded from the signed-in Skills area. That area appears only for accounts that currently have access.

Seeing what is available

Each card explains the ability, what the zip contains and any operating-system limit. A published build shows its version, measured download size and file name. A card marked Coming soon describes planned capability but does not offer a build to install.

The current catalog includes Garmin Sync, which is designed to send planned workouts with steps, targets and repeats to a Garmin watch. Its bundled program is for macOS. Windows, Linux and ChatGPT on the web cannot run that local program today.

Installing a bundle

Download the zip and leave it zipped. Open Claude, Codex CLI or ChatGPT Desktop on the same Mac, attach or point to the file, and ask the assistant to install the skill. The assistant uses the instructions in the bundle to place the files it needs.

Browser and macOS warnings can appear for a newly distributed file. Confirm that the file name matches the release shown in AgentRunCoach before choosing to keep and install it.

A skill is local; your training record is not

The installed files run on your computer. Your plan and training history still live in AgentRunCoach, so installing or removing a skill does not move or erase that data.

Authorizing another service

Some skills need their own service authorization the first time they run. For Garmin Sync, that sign-in happens on a private page on your Mac. The skill uses the local authorization for delivery; AgentRunCoach does not receive or retain the Garmin password.

Use the downloadable Skills area for machine-local abilities. For a reusable first message that simply opens a coaching conversation, use the Prompt Library instead.

Ask your coach

  • “Show me which AgentRunCoach skills I can install.”

  • “Help me install this downloaded skill zip.”

  • “What does the Garmin Sync skill do, and where does it run?”
